I just read on Sena site that mesh 3.0 is now available for any unit that currently has mesh 2.0. A previous article indicates that previously that was not the case. Sent from my iPad

Mesh 3 isn’t available for the first series of 50S units.
We discovered that a 50S, while in mesh 3, will not communicate to a Sena 30S. We had to switch back to Mesh 2 to connect. I dont think the 30S has Mesh 3 available.

I no longer have a BMW, but my Yamaha T700 GS identifies as a BMW. I upgraded my 50S to a Cardo Edge. lol still have my 50S though, so maybe I should upgrade the mesh...

Ed, the latest upgrade moves the unit from mesh 2 to mesh 3, and you can switch between them in the app.
I hope you are right. When you or anyone does the upgrade, we can test them for compatibility.

Jim, is mesh 3.0 a new option? If it is, I would recommend switching to 3.0. I am sure it is backwards compatible.

I've upgraded V 2.7, but switched back to Mesh 2.0. Is it time to switch to Mesh 3.0 for group rides?
Also, I've installed the Wave app. Looks like it works on mobile phone data. Anyone tried it yet?
