This is a scam. Rick's email was obviously compromised. I'm sure most people realize that, but I'm putting this out anyway because not everyone does.
If someone has another way of getting hold of Rick, I would let him know.

Good to hear from you, I need to get an Amazon E-Gift card for my niece who is diagnosed with stage 4 mesothelioma cancer, It’s her birthday today.
