BMWMCON - Newbs

This seems like the place to introduce myself. But there has not been a new member post since 2015!

I have moved here from Nevada. Currently living with my son, Jason, until my home is completed at Del Webb Barton Village in Lebanon sometime in October. He rides a K1600GTL

My current bike is a 2026 R1300RT. My 4th RT!

Brief motorcycle history:

• Started off road racing in Southern California in the early 70s.
• Evolved to dual sport riding in the mid 80s. Became the first president of AMA D37 Dual Sport Division
• Was a member of the United Enduro Association (UEA) MC
• Moved to Nevada when I bought a Jetski, snowmobile, motorcycle dealership at Lake Tahoe
• Joined the Dust Devils MC, a dual sport club.
• When I started more street riding, I joiined High Beemers of Northern Nevada.

I have traveled many many miles of roads in the west. Looking forward to exploring the roads in the east.

I wish more new members introduced themselves here.

We have regular club meetings, typically on the first Tuesday of every month, but there are some exceptions. I'll be sending out the location of the next meeting soon. We move them from place to place.

Love that you were a road racer. I thought I was the only track addict in the club. Nothing better than boogering up a set of tires chasing your best time. The older I get, the faster I was. LOL! :)
