Yes Andrew is the man for sure. I knew him before he had a shop. -C
...Via iPhone... Just in case you and Steve can't get it worked out, Andrew Duthie owns Nashville Motorcycle Repair and will likely be the person to fix your bike. He's great, very thorough, the labor isn't bad, and he's a BMW owner. He seems to specialize in vintage BMWs and Hondas due to his personal preferences, but the guy can do *anything.* We've taken all our bikes to him since we moved to Nashville over 5 years ago, going out of our way to do so since we don't live in Nashville. We've always been happy with his work, and haven't heard a bad thing about him. I've taken several repair classes with him as well, he's really easy to get along with.

Youe the second person to tell me that. Anyone in particular? I have a name just cross referencing

I will be happy to look at that bike with you when I get back. I'm in Colorado for another week but will be home by August 1. Try Nashville Motorcycle Repair
7 30 Cleveland Ave Nashville, TN 37210 (615) 742-4186 Top notch service, very professional! Brought in my 84 Nighthawk S for transmission issues - diagnosed properly from the start and brought back into perfect order in timely fashion. Can't say enough about how how well organized the team is - Kyle is solid on customer service! They are a genuine asset to us vintage owners!! Nashville is fortunate to have their talent and professionalism available. These guys were great. I get a little long winded talking about my bike and these guys didn't mind a bit. Cheaper labor rate and good price on tires. They saved me quite a bit of money over what a south Nashville Honda shop wanted to do, suggesting their silly "Intermediate service." Andrew and Phil are good guys who were good to my VFR. Great shop, I took my bike here because I was having an electrical issue, but I had no clue where the problem was. Andrew jumped straight into it. He tested every single wire, and system on the bike to narrow it down to my generator. He then recommended a guy to rebuild the generator at a good price. We ended up running over the time frame that we talked about searching for the problem. In the end Andrew and Phil still gave me a good price. The shop was very clean and organized which I saw as a plus. Most shops get pretty dirty with old parts sitting everywhere over time. NMR does a very good job of keeping the shop in good shape. I recommend these guys. Andrew and Phil are really nice guys and very straight forward. They tell you what you need and what it's going to cost. Great experience! Andrew and Phil are great and the staff as well. Small shop but that's what I like. No Corp BS here. Went out of their way to make sure my signals were installed properly and a good once over on my bike. Will be back for sure. Thanks again guys!! RR Andrew is a gem. Despite having a scooter carved out of poo (at least that's how well it seemed to work), he did the best he could and even cut the price for me. He'll be very honest with you. He even let me watch and learn for a couple minutes while he worked on it. The only thing I didn't like as much was when I first went in to get a repair we had previously discussed, and instead of replacing the whole problem, he just fixed a part that would have been fixed had the whole thing been fixed all at once. In sum, I wasted $75 and a trip downtown. I had to come back later for the big job. Other than that, he bends over backwards for his customers. When I (like an idiot) thought something was wrong after he had worked on my exhaust manifold, he even offered to drive to my house and fix it real quick. What?! No mechanic does that. Andrew is solid, has a solid reputation amongst the motorcycle/scooter scene, and he will take care of you if you are respectful. Andrew found me on Twitter after I posted a tweet asking for suggestions on where to take my bike for service. I told him my situation and that I needed a way to haul by bike to his shop. Without hesitation he offered that he'd pick my bike up at my house free of charge. He was upfront with me about what service I did and did not need. He only had my bike for a short period and was very willing to accomodate my schedule for drop off/pick up. I will definitely be a repeat customer. HIghly recommended. Needed to get the oil & filter changed on my 2007 Honda ST1300. All I can say is that they did a great job and were very helpful. Highly recommended. The noise started at some point on my way to swamp scooters last year. I noticed it when I stopped in baton rouge for fuel. Its a grinding, rattling sound when the clutch is out and stops when then the clutch is engaged. It still seems to shift fine as I rode it back home. And a few times since. The noise is troublesome to say the least. And I don't trust it to really go far like I like to go

Sent from my iPhone Any of you fine people able to help me replaced my transmission on my 1998 r1100rt? Or able to point me to a quality garage or mechanic buddy that can do it, and I won't have to give an arm or leg or both to get this done. I have the replacement transmission already. Had it set up to be done (I was going to help too) but that has fallen through. Any help or words of encouragement are welcome. I just want to ride my RiTa again. Thank y'all in advance for any and all help...
