Need Heated Riding Gear?
Christopher Schaffer
Bob's BMW is currently liquidating their Powerlet heated gear line. I just purchased a pair of their heated socks for $97 (and this includes the controller). This is a savings of about $100.

This is not a "sale" in the usual sense; they informed me that these prices are in effect until their inventory is cleared out, so what they have is all they'll get.

When I inquired further, they said that they were going in a different direction with their heated gear lineup.

While I like my Atomic Skin liner, it seems as if Powerlet is either on the verge of collapse or is already there. They don't answer emails or phone calls, and none of their voicemail boxes are accepting new messages. I've been informed by people at a local dealer that they aren't even responding to warranty claims. So while these prices are awesome, you should also be aware that if you need warranty work, you may be out of luck.

Hey Chris, thanks for the info.  Looking at Powerlet's web site, they only have a jacket liner and glove liners, and some accessories, all listed as closeouts.  Revile still has the full line at full price. It seemed like good stuff, but considerably more expensive than the other top-shelf brands.

I read somewhere about a guy that does heated gear repair in his basement at very reasonable prices, so for all of you who invested in Powerlet and can't get warranty repairs, keep that in mind.

I just saw the posting about warranty work; hopefully it's not just Gerbings he fixes.

Had to buy the pants at RevZilla at nearly full price, minus my store credit, but am adding the heated glove liners to complete the set...couldn't beat the price either- $49!

If anyone else is interested in glove liners, I have a pair for sale and will match that price $49.  New, $89 at The Warming Store.

Gerbing heated glove liner, size XL, still has tags.  Warn once, fit my hands but didn't fit with the gloves I wanted to use them with (gloves did not have enough extra space to permit addition of liner underneath).
