As painful as it is to consider this rally and ride without Larry we have to finalize some plans:
The plan is to originate the ride from West Nashville rather than Leipers Fork. The first day to West Plains, MO will be roughly 370 miles, 8+ hours in total. The second day into Springfield will about 2-3 hours. We will be leaving Wednesday June 15 at 8:00 am.
There are currently 7 people registered for this ride. If there are others planning to make this ride please register in the club website.
I plan to book a block of rooms in West Plains in the next couple of days. If there are those of you who plan to bunk together please let me know. Each person will be responsible for payment.
I will lead the ride along with everyone's criticisms on missed turns. I know that some of us use Sena communicators so if you want to engage in the banter then be prepared to be in sync by 8:00 AM Wednesday when we are stands up. I will pick a breakfast spot in W Nashville and send out the details along with the gpx files for the ride in the next few days.
As for the ride back, I plan to stay for a few days after the rally so the rest of you can decide on a return path.
Please let me know your intentions for hotel Wednesday night, whether you will share or require a room to yourself.
