Martin Our latest plan... Leaving Monday and going east first then north, stretching it out to about 950 miles to catch some mountains in WV and PA, almost all US highways (no interstate). Overnight stops around Kingsport TN (300 mi), Elkins WV (290 mi), Dubois PA (230 mi), and into Hamburg (140 mi) Thursday. Hotels only, no camping. Returning will be the shortest route with two overnight stops. No days more than 300 miles (it is our first multi-day riding trip, ya know). If this kind of plan appeals to you, let us know. I can send the route to give you an idea.

Martin, you could check with Rick Barnhardt on rooms in Hamburg - I think he reserved several without specific names to fill them. He might still have one.

Sounds like a great trip! Wish I could join you guys but I am headed to New Mexico to help guide a trip on the New Mexico Backcountry Discovery Route with my friend Scott Lee who owns Colarodo Motorcycle Adventures! Be safe and have a great ride! See you soon!

Five weeks until the MOA rally in New York, time to start thinking about travel plans? Here's what Cindy and I are thinking right now:
- Arriving in Hamburg Thursday, July 14, depart Sunday July 17. We have hotel reservations at Econolodge a couple miles from the rally site.
- Google says it's about 750 miles from Nashville to Hamburg. Three not-too-hard days riding by the shortest route, so leaving Tuesday and getting home Tuesday.
- We might take a little more scenic route and/or make an extra stop, and add a day either at the front or the back. Yet to be decided, and open to suggestions if anyone is riding with us.
- Also yet to decide if we will plan stops for each night, or ride until we've had enough and find a place.
Does anyone have similar plans and want to ride together?
