BMWMCON - Chatin'

Burkesville, Kentucky
Ben Bailey

Decided to ride to Burkesville on the cancelled fall rally dates. Departed from Uncle Pete's truck stop in Lebanon after meeting a couple of riding friends there. 70 North to Carthage, 263 to Red Boiling Springs, 56 to Gamaliel, KY, 100/63 through Tomkinsville and on to the river. Ferry ride to 953 to 61 and into Burkesville. Good route! The bad news Annie Rubies, Jones', Freds are all closed. The bait shop is opened for breakfast and the mexican restaurant is also open. The good news - great riding. Friday we rode to Wolf Creek Dam and on to the lodge. The road down to the marina and resort is incredible. Ended up later in the day at Mikes Landing. Due to weather we rolled south Saturday morning. Arrived home just before the rain storm hit. Ride Safe, Ben

Nice accounting Ben.
After going on the wonderful club ride Saturday, I met two Airhead friends at Pete’s Truckstop Sunday morning and ran some roads that were new to us on our Airheads. The worse of the bunch was a single lane long country road, Dry Fork Road, that runs between Highway 53 and 141 southeast of Lebanon.  It was one of those roads where you had to dodge the holes and avoid the gravel.  It was a great day to be on a bike however.
