What about over to Gainsboro, maybe up to Red Boiling Springs for lunch?

Or perhaps to Burgess Falls?
Peter Duncanson
It looks like Burgess Falls does not have a restaurant.  Looking for possible lunch spots in Red Boiling Springs, Gainesboro, or Livingston... Any ideas?

Their is an English type pub in Gainsboro from what I've heard. Not sure the name though. Pig and whistle maybe

A couple of restaurants just east of RBS. I've eaten at one, a meat-n-three kind of joint. There's also a BBQ joint or three.

Could also eat in Cookeville? No clue about Gainsboro other than their one main restaurant right outside of downtown.

I looked at the Bull and Thistle menu - kind of pricy. There's a sports bar right across the square that's open for breakfast and lunch, and I found a couple of possibilities in Sparta but haven't been able to verify they're open Sunday.

Here's the plan:
- Meet at Panera Bread in Smyrna, 499 Chaney Rd., just off I-24 Sam Ridley Parkway exit.  Breakfast/coffee if you wish, 9:00 or so.
- Tanks full, kickstands up at 10:00
- Ride about 95 miles, 2 1/2 to 3 hours
- Lunch at The Spot Sports Grill, Gainesboro, TN
- Return by a different route toward Nashville, or you can make your own way home

I will try to post gpx files called Smyrna-Gainesboro and Gainesboro-Nashville.

Hope to see a good group!

Cool! I plan on being there.

Sounds like fun but I am going to have to bail.  Rubbed all the rubber off today.  Getting New tires on tuesday.
