The BMW Motorcycle Club of Nashville put on another good, informative meeting with guest speaker, David Clark of TN Best Insurance. David is a motorcyclist himself, so he had a very good perspective on insurance and gave a very detailed and informative presentation. He spoke about the many facets of motorcycle insurance. Some of the many topics included how rates are determined, when discounts are given what coverage one should have and when to file or not file a claim. There were many comments and compliments on David’s presentation.
The meeting was held at Bloodworth Motorcycles and as always we are very thankful for David, Virginia and staff for their help. Our event Coordinator, Rod McDonald, marinated chicken and David did an excellent job of grilling it. Together with potato salad and other delicious side items, we had a very tasty meal. Bloodworth has some great bikes and some great deals and many of us enjoyed sitting on a bikes during the presentation.
The next meeting will be at Blackstones Restaurant and Brewery. We will have a slide show and presentation from the New Zealand trip presented by Bob Maier, Andy Valentine and Jim Moore. The club now has a PA system so we should all be able to hear better.
Other upcoming events are Ribfest 2013 at Lee Waggoner’s farm towards the end of October – see our website for details. We are very excited about the November meeting as it will feature a presentation by Jim Ford of his riding school, The Art of Smooth Riding. Several club members have taken the class and Jim has graciously given the club a free class as the grand prize for the Burkesville Rally.
