We had a nice turnout for the Monthly Club Ride in March. Eleven motorcycles started from Bloodworth, headed south toward Leiper's Fork, northwest through Fairview to White Bluff, north to Ashland City, and south to the Loveless Café.
Energy for the second half of the ride was sustained with a lunch stop at Snappy's Pizza and Subs in White Bluff - the lone employee did a great job handling probably the biggest lunch rush Snappy's has ever seen. (To Tommy and his riding buddies who were not in our group but tried to meet us at "Zippy's": sorry I got that wrong in the pre-ride notes. Happily, they found us anyway, guided by their strong powers of deduction upon seeing a bunch of BMWs parked on the side of the building.)
Like most rides in the country, the group encountered several dogs, one of which gave chase after the first two bikes, but apparently got confused when he saw nine more and just decided to sit and watch. There was also a near-miss encounter with a chicken trying to cross the road (no, I don't know why, nor do I know if he ever made it). I couldn't get the video clip to load here, but you can see it in the News Files folder on the Files page.
We were pleased to welcome two visitors on the ride, Charlie and Rob, and hope they'll join the club and ride with us again.
The group agreed this was a good paved road route. If you missed it but want to try the route, the GPS file can be found on the Files page of the club site.
